Dr. Jeremy R. Kernitsky is a board-certified periodontist specializing in periodontal and implant surgery, with a focus on precision, regeneration, and long-term stability.
He earned his dental degree from Universidad de los Andes (Chile) and Boston University, followed by advanced training in implant dentistry through the gIDE Institute and Loma Linda University. He completed his specialty training in periodontics and dental implant surgery at Boston University, where he also obtained a Master of Science in Dentistry.
His clinical work centers on restoring the foundation of the dentition through thoughtful planning and precise surgical execution. He provides comprehensive care including dental implants, bone regeneration, soft tissue surgery, and treatment of periodontal disease, with an emphasis on predictability and outcomes designed to last.
He has a particular interest in regenerative procedures and implant surgery, where attention to surgical detail plays a critical role in long-term success. He believes patients should clearly understand their condition and treatment options, and he approaches each case individually, recognizing that every patient has unique needs, concerns, and goals.
Dr. Kernitsky is the recipient of multiple academic and professional distinctions, including the Excellence in Teaching and Mentoring in Periodontics Award from the American Academy of Periodontology, as well as recognition for excellence in research, clinical performance, and overall achievement during his specialty training at Boston University.
In addition to his clinical practice, he serves as Associate Professor and Clinical Director in the postgraduate Department of Periodontology at Boston University, where he is actively involved in training specialists and advancing clinical education. He has also presented his work at national and international conferences, reflecting his ongoing commitment to education and the advancement of the field. His academic work focuses on bone regeneration, implant accuracy, and the integration of emerging technologies in periodontal care.
He works closely with restorative dentists to coordinate treatment and ensure alignment between surgical and restorative outcomes from the outset to guarantee a efficient and successful treatment experience for his patients.
Outside of clinical practice, he enjoys staying active, running, Pilates, cooking, and exploring new restaurants with friends and family.
